Brooks Paley, LL.M. established Paley Law Corporation in Los Angeles, California in 2007. Paley Law Corporation is registered with the State Bar of California as a professional law corporation. Practice areas include estate and trust planning, estate and trust administration, probate, asset protection, and business entity formation. In addition, Paley Law has served as outside counsel to Lotus Communications Corp., one of the largest privately owned radio station groups in the United States, since 2011.

Professional Experience:  Brooks Paley, LL.M., managing principal of Paley Law Corporation, is certified as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California.  Brooks has been a member in good standing of the State Bar of California since 1993. He specializes in estate and trust planning, with an emphasis on tax planning for strategic wealth transfers. He earns great satisfaction from the individual attention that he gives to, and the personal relationship that he develops, with each and every client. He is a member in good standing of the Trusts and Estates Section and the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association, respectively.


Education:  Brooks received his Master of Laws in Taxation with High Distinction from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 2010. At Loyola, he earned First Honors in Estate and Gift Taxation II and in Tax Planning for Family Wealth. Brooks received his Juris Doctor from the USC Gould School of Law in 1993 and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Stanford University in 1984.


Publications:  Brooks was quoted in the June/July 2011 issue of Working Ranch Magazine (“Death Tax Tips”) on the impact of the estate tax on family-owned businesses and tax planning opportunities available to them.


Community Service:  Brooks volunteers his legal services to the Wills for Heroes Foundation, a non-profit organization that works nationwide to provide wills and other estate planning documents at no cost to America’s first responders, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, corrections officers, and probation officers.


Other Professional Affiliations:  Brooks has been a member in good standing of the Directors Guild of America since 2000. As a DGA member, he is honored to participate in the annual selection of the film that receives the Directors Guild Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film, which has accurately predicted the winner of the Academy Award for Achievement in Directing in all but 7 years since the inception of the DGA Awards in 1949.
